The Employability Skills Development Course is now available for schools to deliver to students.

This QSA-recognised course is a fantastic way for your students to obtain 1 QCE point!

Course Length: 60 nominal hours across Phases 1, 2 and 3 (as outlined in the diagram below).

How Does it Work?

The materials for this course have been developed so that schools can easily guide their students through the Three Phases.

The steps are:

  • Enrol your students with Worklinks (there are no minimum/maximum numbers)
  • Worklinks will send you all of the supporting resources
  • Choose the make-up of your 60 nominal hours (from the parameters in the diagram below)
  • Organise work experience (between 40-50 hours) for participating students
  • Facilitate induction/employability skills sessions (Phase 1), using the provided resources
  • Students attend work experience and complete their Skills Portfolio (Phase 2)
  • Facilitate short post-activity reflection session (Phase 3)
  • Mark completed assessment items
  • Return all assessment items to Worklinks for verification and moderation
  • Worklinks will lodge the course completion with QSA
  • Your students gain credit for 1 QCE Point
