Worklinks provide support for employers via a range of government incentives and bonuses to help with hiring new staff

Government Incentives

We help employers with incentives and bonuses

Worklinks not only support businesses in the Kippa-Ring, Mitchelton, Deception Bay, Strathpine,  Caboolture and surrounding Moreton Bay areas to find staff, but also assist with a range of Government incentives as well. We can help employers with various incentives and bonuses when it comes to the hiring of eligible staff.

The most common incentives to businesses in the hiring of staff include:

JobMaker

The JobMaker Hiring Credit scheme provides businesses with an incentive to employ young job seekers aged 16–35. Eligible employers can access the JobMaker Hiring Credit for each employee they hire between 7 October 2020 and 6 October 2021.

Wage subsidies

Various Government subsidies are on offer to help employers offset the cost of wages. These can include wage subsidies which provide financial incentives to encourage employers to hire eligible applicants, the Wage Subsidy Scheme, Restart and Wage Start and the Supported Wage System for those employing people with disability.

Youth bonus / Youth boost

Youth Boost Payments are available of up to $20,000 to eligible employers who hire unemployed young Queenslanders in regional Queensland or parts of South East Queensland. The Back to Work program has been designed to help businesses employ Queenslanders who have experienced a period of unemployment.

The PaTH internship lets employers trial a young potential candidate for future employment by taking part in a supervised work experience placement. This presents an opportunity to find out if the potential candidate is a good fit for your team.

The trial period can run for 4 to 12 weeks and must feature 30 to 50 hours of work experience in each fortnight. This can include weekend or shift work but not public holidays.

Businesses do not pay the employee during the trial; rather a fortnightly incentive is paid to them by the Australian Government, on top of their income support payment.

The employee is also covered by insurance during their participation in the trial. Employers who take part will receive a payment of $1000 to help cover the costs of hosting a trial. If you decide to hire the potential candidate, you may be eligible to receive a wage subsidy of up to $10,000 (GST inclusive).
