Worklinks is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that can help new parents prepare themselves to re-enter the workforce. Our training, employment opportunities and services help parents in Queensland who need assistance with restarting their career when their children are ready to head to school.

Since 1997, we have been providing industry-leading programs and training to prepare parents throughout Queensland and Moreton Bay communities such as Caboolture, Kippa-Ring, Strathpine, Mitchelton, and Deception bay.

ParentsNext helps eligible parents plan and prepare for employment

Being a parent is hard work, but what do you do as your children gain their first form of independence and head to school? Worklinks has the solution with the ParentsNext program that works with parents to help set realistic and suitable education and employment goals.

This is your chance to develop a pathway to achieve your career goals, supported by the Worklinks team, who can link you to the local community’s services and activities.

The ParentsNext program assists its participants in:

You can apply for assistance with work-related expenses, local support groups, mentorships and counselling services. It can be common for Centrelink to contact those parents and carers who may be eligible for the ParentsNext program.
