We provide training, employment opportunities and services to youth still attending school, early school leavers, and young adults who have recently graduated. Our expert team can help your child with the following:

Our industry-leading programs, training and services, are tailor-made to children in the Moreton Bay area, including Caboolture, Kippa-Ring, Strathpine, Mitchelton, and Deception Bay. We strive to improve these communities and Queensland as a whole. It is our belief that skilled, quality workers improve the sectors they are involved in. Each year waves of young people enter the workforce, with our help we can raise the bar for the number of skilled employees in our society.

These programs are designed to help Queensland’s youth, indigenous, mature-aged and underprivileged to find employment opportunities that can turn into long-term careers. Our primary focus is to work with your children, understand their skillsets and employment goals and provide support and training networks to help achieve them. 

From finding and maintaining a job to a change or transition between jobs, we offer the education and training your children need. All of this is designed in a plan tailored to their specific situation.

Additional Services: Skilling Queenslanders for Work

Another program offered by Worklinks is Skilling Queenslanders for Work, a Queensland Government initiative that aims to support and assist up to 54,000 Queenslanders in finding relevant employment.

Skilling Queenslanders for Work focuses on providing training and support for young people, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, Para-able and special needs, Mature age job seekers, women re-entering the workforce, and more. 

A significant part of your child’s preparation for the workforce includes training and further education. As a highly-respected, registered training organisation, Worklinks can help young people attain qualifications relevant to their career field of choice.

The following are just some of the learning opportunities and qualifications available:

  • CHC41215 – Certificate IV in Career Development
  • CHC41115 – Certificate IV in Employment Services
  • CHC32015 – Certificate III in Community Services

We customise all of our programs to suit the individual. The benefits of the Transition to
Work program

One of the programs offered by Worklinks is Transition to Work, an employment service designed for those between the ages of 15 to 24. This program has been designed to help your children discover and move into meaningful employment. The elements that make up this program can help your child start down the road of a successful career path.

Transition to Work includes an intensive pre-employment support program, along with training to improve work-readiness. Your children will be supported as they move from school to further education or employment, inclusive of apprenticeships and traineeships.

The Transition to Work program offers:

  • Development of practical, job-friendly skills
  • Connecting with education and training providers
  • Finding work experience placements
  • Locating job opportunities within local communities
  • Connecting with community services relevant to the individual’s needs

To be eligible to, the Transition to Work program requires your child to be:

  • Aged between 15-24
  • An Australian citizen, or the holder of a permanent visa, or a New Zealand Special Category Visa, or a Nominated Visa (including Temporary Protection Visa or Safe Haven Visa)

Eligibility is also influenced but not restricted to the following:

  • Completion of year-12 or a certificate III
  • Employment within the six months prior
  • An income support payment recipient such as Youth Allowance
  • Current registration or participation in another employment service (e.g. Jobactive)
