Support Services

effective career and Support services

For over 20-years the Worklinks team has been providing effective career and support services throughout Southeastern Queensland. We help those entering the workforce with employability skills, interview preparation, effective resume development, and much more.

Our support services can encompass career analysis tasks, job search networks, time management and organisational skills, work experience inductions and more. We develop the youth of today to help build a safer, stronger and more unified community.

Transition to Work is an employment service for young people between the ages of 15 to 24 that involves intensive pre-employment support and training as well as further education or employment (including apprenticeships and traineeships).

Through this program, those new to the workforce can be provided with the development of practical, job-friendly skills, connections with education and training providers, work experience placements, and more.

The primary requirements for eligibility require an applicant to be aged between 15-24, and

having completed year-12 or a certificate III amongst some other pre-requisites.

Our programs are tailored to help the youth and other members of the community who are looking to re-enter the workforce. The ParentsNext program is designed to support parents and carers as they prepare for work when their youngest child reaches school age.

ParentsNext focuses on the following improvements:

  • Skills development
  • Training and work experience
  • Financial support
  • Job preparation skills
  • Critical training and more

Skilling Queenslanders for Work

Get Set for Work

Get Set for Work is a sub-program within the Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative. This program focuses on improving education levels, skill sets, employment opportunities, and social stability for members of the disadvantaged and at-risk community.

The Get Set for Work program is for participants aged between 15-19, helping them to receive nationally recognised and accredited training. It features integrated learning support and foundational skills training.
