Certificate III Early Childhood Education and Care
This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. Supporting children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework.
To achieve this qualification, you must complete a total of at 160 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service.

Online self-paced learning (except for First Aid)
· Each unit of work is accompanied by pre-recorded webinars to guide through each of the assessments · Weekly Online tutorial sessions with your highly experienced Trainer scheduled every Monday and Wednesday. · Additional Trainer support will be available via email & phone where required by the student.
Course has direct observation requirements for some units which will be directly observed to be signed off. This is in addition to supervisor/third party observation for other requirements.
NOTE: The first Aid unit will be delivered face to face in north Brisbane. Participants will need to make their own way for this one day training for HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting

Must be 16 years of age to enrol
Students must attain a Working with Children Card (volunteer or paid) within the first 6 weeks of enrolment. |
Work experience |
160 practical hours of work experience are required in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia. Work experience placements will be organised periodically throughout the enrolment.

Resources |
You will need access to a computer and reliable Wi-Fi for the duration of your course. Students must have access to Microsoft Suite including (Word).
Course information material is written and includes some numerical calculations. If you do not hold a Year 12 pass or Certificate level lll qualification Worklinks will provide you with a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) indicator prior to enrolment in the course to assess your ability and any support that may be required including reasonable adjustments where necessary.
