Get Set for Work is a 12 week program designed to help you prepare for your future and obtain a Certificate and an employment outcome.

BSB20120 Certificate II in Workplace Skills

Build confidence, knowledge, and skills to help you get the best start in work or to commence another training program.

Receive ongoing support to learn effective methods to manage life challenges.

Worklinks currently offers the ‘Supporting-u-2-employment’ program at Strathpine. This is a Qld Government funded Get Set for Work program – a great program for 15-19 year olds not attending school who want to work. The 5 day a week program (for 12 weeks all up) provides the opportunity for you to obtain a Certificate II in Workplace Skills. The program also includes some fitness activities, food (we love our food)  – and includes unpaid work experience (2 days a week). Do you need help to get your driver’s licence? Would you like to get a safety card to work in the building and construction industry? Would you like to develop strategies to help with mental health, etc. Do you want help to get that job?? THIS PROGRAM IS FOR YOU!
Units:
BSBCMM211 – Apply communication skills – with specific focus to communication in the workplace, gathering information, conveying information and completing assigned written information.
BSBPEF202 – Plan and apply time management. Learning skills and processes to organise and complete work tasks in a timely fashion.
BSBWHS211 – Contribute to the health and safety of others.  Understanding and applying Workplace Health and Safety regulations, policies and produres regarding the safety and welfare of yourself and others.
BSBOPS201 – Work effectively in business environments. Including identifying and working to organisational standards and working with teams.
BSBSUS211 – Participate in sustainable work practices.
BSBTEC201 – Use business software applications. As part of the working practice of most businesses, software is selected to perform day to day communication and data storage.
SIRXSLS002 – Follow point of sale procedures. Process transactions and complete sales when working in a retail operation.
BSBPEF101 – Plan and prepare for work readiness. Acquire the skills and knowledge required to document and plan for future personal development.
BSBOPS203 – Deliver a service to customers. Learn how to develop the skills and knowledge to deliver customer service at an introductory level.
SIRXPDK001 – Advise on products and services. Develop product and service knowledge and deliver using clear communication.
Certificate II in Workplace Skills will put you in a position to work confidently and efficiently within a commercial business.
